Don’t bring Covid home for Christmas!
It has been an extremely tough term for teachers, pupils and parents and it’s not over yet. We want to help you through the last few weeks before the Christmas break by providing guidance on the best steps to stay protected and prevent transmission and to help everyone have the Christmas break they deserve.
It’s been an extremely tough term for teachers, pupils and parents and it’s not over yet. COVID-19 rates in school aged children in the borough are extremely high and increasing. In primary aged children the case rate is currently almost 1,500 cases per 100,000, which is the highest it’s ever been. In secondary aged children case rates remain consistently above 1,000 cases per 100,000.
COVID Contacts Self Isolation Guidance
Covid Positive > Direct Contact
Contacts > Must Isolate for 14 Days
No Symptoms > Rest of Family > Do not need to self isolate, can attend work and school as normal
Symptoms at any point within 14 Days > Rest of Family > Must also Self Isolate for 14 Days
