If you are applying for a primary school place for Reception year entry
In Year Applications:
From September 2025 the Local Authority are no longer coordinating in-year admissions. To apply to join Willow Primary for the academic year 2025/6, please contact willow.waitinglist@marishandwillow.co.uk. We would advise you to read our Admissions Policy before applying. Should you be unable to collect the form in person, contact the office directly.
Please note, the Local authority will continue to manage the allocation of Reception places (September 2026). If you have a child due to start in reception September 2026, you must still apply to the local authority via the online form (https://capita.slough.gov.uk/CitizenPortal/en)
An application for a secondary school must be made when your child starts Year 5. SBC expects all applications to be completed online, the portal opens on 1st September and closes 31st October. Any application made after this date will be classes as late and will only be processed after the ‘on time’ applications have been dealt with. Applications after the closing date (31st October) are extremely unlikely to result in the allocation of your first-choice school for your child.
You must only apply through SBC if you are a SBC resident. Please visit the SBC Admissions for further information.
If you are not a resident of Slough Borough Council you will need to apply through your Home Authority. You will still be able to apply for Slough Borough Council schools through your home Authority.
Although a number of our children go on to attend Grammar schools, Marish does not tutor children for the 11+ tests. Please check the websites of any of the Slough grammar Schools for information about how to apply or visit Slough Consortium of Grammar Schools Admissions Portal. Tests take place in September and results are posted prior to the closing date for CAF submission.
