At Willow Primary School, we are committed to creating a sustainable future for our pupils and our community. We believe that by teaching our children about environmental responsibility and taking action to reduce our carbon footprint, we can make a positive difference to our planet.

Our Sustainability Lead
Our Sustainability Lead is Brendan Rossiter, who works with staff, pupils, and the wider school community to develop and implement our sustainability initiatives. *Books about the environment in literacy lessons (one plastic bag)

*Geography lessons on climate and environmental issues
*Lidl food workshops
*Energy and Carbon Reduction through pupil-led energy monitoring projects and reminders about turning off lights and equipment
*Recycling and litter picking programmes for waste reduction
*Second-hand uniform shop
*Biodiversity and Outdoor Learning through gardening lunchtime clubs and outdoor learning opportunities
Sustainable Travel initiatives like walking or cycling to school initiatives and scooter/bike storage facilities.
