The School Council represent the children’s voice, giving all children at Willow Primary the chance to share their ideas and have their say.
They encourage everyone to think of great ideas to help the school to become even more effective.
Ideas / issues are passed on to the school council. At the meetings the School Council discuss, investigate, plan, take action or find someone who can help.
There are representatives from every class from Year 1 children to Year 6.
This year the main focus was the school playground – many children during lunch felt lonely or didn’t have a lot of equipment to play with. The School Council were responsible for helping children friend/make friends during their play/lunch time. To keep the children entertained games were marked onto the playground hop scotch, number counting etc, which kept everyone engaged. This has been a great success! Moving forward, we now are focusing on buying more playground equipment!
