Stay at home, stay safe, stay in touch-

-your fourth weekly update from Marish Academy Trust.

The Easter Holidays are almost over, but in school we haven’t stopped thinking about all of you at home. A small team of staff have been in school looking after a few children in holiday club and teachers have been planning our next few weeks’ home learning for the website.

Today, Miss Court and I with a team of helpers are packing what will be the last delivery of food parcels for early next week. This is because the government free school meals voucher scheme is now up and running. If your child is registered for free school meals, you should receive an e-code via email which you can convert into an e-voucher for the week beginning the 27th April. (Please see the newsletter which will be issued on or before Friday 24th April for instructions on how to do this.)

Some of you will not have registered with the Local Authority for free school meals as yet. (Please note the provision of infant free school meals does not automatically entitle your child to the vouchers.) You must apply for them, if you want to receive the e-codes for vouchers. Details of how to apply are available from either school email addresses above and have been sent out recently to all parents.

However, if you are struggling to access the internet or to get out to the shops, please let us know in school by email and we will come up with a solution to assist you. Staff will continue to be in touch which every family regularly, starting early next week.

Here at Marish and Willow, we believe in doing ‘whatever it takes’. Our commitment to our community has been demonstrated in practical ways, including the delivery of approximately 270 large food parcels, the provision of work and resources online and, of course, keeping our school open for the children of key workers and those who need to be here. In what has been far from an average month, the trust staff team have continued to do what they do best- meet needs.

Although apart, we are united in our team efforts to do whatever it takes, to make the most of this unique opportunity to build better relationships and show we care.

Any new updates or resources will be uploaded to this page or the home learning pages regularly, so watch this space.

Take care and keep in touch, Mrs Denham, the staff team, governors and trustees.
